Meet the Founding Pack of Pawpew

Inspired by Rescue Stories!

Welcome to the heart of Pawpew — where it all began with two lovable rescue pups: Gypsy, our free-spirited German Shepherd, and Mufasa, our gentle giant of a Caucasian Shepherd. These two amazing souls were the inspiration behind our journey. When we adopted them, our goal was to bring back joy, adventure, and love into their eyes.

Soon after welcoming them into our family, we set off on road trips to explore the world together. But the excitement didn’t last long — Mufasa began experiencing car sickness, while Gypsy struggled with travel anxiety. Despite trying various seat covers, harnesses, and blankets, nothing seemed to help. It became clear that our dogs were cramped and uncomfortable in the back seat.

Turning a Problem into a Solution — The Birth of the Backseat Extender

We realized that our pups needed more room, better airflow, and a comfortable space to stretch out. After many trials and errors, we finally created the Backseat Extender — a seat cover with a solid base. And guess what? It worked! Mufasa’s car sickness disappeared, and Gypsy became noticeably calmer.

Why Did It Work?

Our Backseat Extender was thoughtfully designed with cushioned foam, waterproof materials, and a sturdy plywood base to extend the back seat area. We also added a mesh window that allowed cool air from the A/C to flow to the back, creating a soothing and breathable space for our pups.

For the first time ever, both dogs slept peacefully throughout the entire ride. It was a huge milestone for us! But we knew we couldn’t keep this to ourselves — we had to share it with fellow pet parents everywhere. And so, Pawpew was born.

Today, Mufasa and Gypsy look forward to every car ride — whether it’s a quick stop for a pup cup, a scenic adventure, or just a leisurely Sunday drive, they’re always ready to go!
